Comment by SOL Metts on April 30, 2013 at 7:37am Calling for input, feedback and first takes on the new Twitter #music feature. Would also like to hear from folks using rdio and also from Spotify users. What are the pros and cons of this new feature as you've experienced it so far?
Cheers!

Ok, I made a mistake and will be deleting my last post here. I got ahead of myself and gave incorrect information.
The icon bar below is for a browser extension called AddThis and it's icon is on the far right, the "Plus Sign" in the orange box. AddThis, by adding this toolbar to your browser Menu Bar allows you to instantly share any web content you're viewing on any or all of the sites in the tool bar.
It was the other tool I was going to be reporting on, my bad for the mixup.
Here's a glimpse at their site header, more to come ~
Cheers!

Comment by SOL Metts on April 2, 2013 at 12:08pm Hello, happy belated holiday~
Well, I've kicked the wheels on the Browser Extension called "Buffer" and here's what I've found. Installing the "Buffer" browser extension displays an icon in your menu bar like this:
The Buffer icon is on the far right. Click it while viewing any internet page, media, etc., and Buffer will add it to your Buffer account/stream automatically and unless you customize the date and time of posting, Buffer will automatically schedule it to post on your authorized social media.
With a "Free" account, you can 'buffer' up to five (5) events per day, that you have captured across the internet. You can "buffer" anything, though the terms and conditions limit sexually explicit, profane, offensive, etc., etc.
Upgrading to "Awesome" enables limitless "Buffering."
Once you've buffered something, you can schedule it to be posted on any number of social media accounts you have authorized "Buffer" to access. All the usual suspects, Facebook, Twitter, and such.
You can shuffle the order of scheduled buffers to be posted, you can add links, and other media in some cases. So stay tuned as I'll post the links to the Buffered items I just saved which were the gig links for some who have posted here ~ Here's a sneak preview!
If you're managing different promotion campaigns or if you want to feature or highlight the efforts of others, this promises to be an interesting addition to our tool kit. Especially for managing #FF & #MM type tweets on Twitter, and also if you are using Twitter Lists to target different followers with "interest specific" tweets~
Stay tuned, Keep ROCKIN!~

Still kicking the wheels on "Buffer". It's a web browser extension that allows you to capture info, events, tweets, etc. and cache them to post at a later time. Opens it's own page whenever you launch your browser.
Haven't buffered much yet and haven't scheduled anything to repost. Will spend some time today getting more acquainted with this feature to assess it's value and worth to the aspiring Artist/Musician.
Stay tuned for and update and please stop by and add your own insights and discoveries to the mix.
Cheers!!
Thx, great tips your self. Thanks for the help hear as well. It's been 4 years of dedication from IMG and this year we will blow the roof off,,lol thats my goal any way.

As promised, more on Twiends.com~
At Twiends.com you can create a profile, define your interests and twiends will serve up a list of Tweeple (twitter users, tweeps) for each defined interest.
Additionally, you can Friends these people, often earning "seeds" when you do so.
Twiends.com adamantly discourages breaking your twitter license agreement by purchasing #Followers but encourages you to follow other twitter personalities with the incentive of earning "seeds".
You can use your seeds to rewards others who follow you. You can set a daily "seeds" budget to gradually grow your followers. There are also settings which allow you to define who you automatically follow back, how long a twitter account must exist before you will follow, demographic filters, etc.
Twiends also has a "Featured" proflie feature which you can participate in as well as being able to purchase "seeds". Featured tweeple generally offer up to 7 seeds for following, but not all featured offer seeds for following.
Another resource worth investigating is "Buffer". This is a great tool for "managed tweeting" of media rich content as you can set your tweets to be delivered over a span of time. More later~
Finally, for a reality check on how active the twitter chat feature is, check out twitter chats #music. There are literally two tweets a second of new music, artists promotion, shows, videos. It's pretty amazing and suggests there's great value in starting topic specific twitterchats around artist co-promotion, etc.
Keep ROCKIN~
